The 1762-L24BWA is an AB Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). It is part of the AB 1762 series of PLCs. This controller module has Fourteen (14) digital inputs designed for 24 Volts DC and Ten (10) Relay Outputs. This controller is powered with a supply voltage of 24VDC.

The 1762-L24BWA has a compact form and requires a minimum mounting space, ideal for instalaltion in enclosures with tight spaces. The module has dimensions of 3.5 inches in height, 4.33 inches in width, and a length of 3.43 inches. The controller module weighs 2 pounds.
The 1762-L24BWA drive uses a relay output circuit and it has a mechanical relay lifespan of 20,000,000 cycles. The heat dissipation rate of the drive is 15.6 Watts. The controller module can only be operated with an ambient running temperature between 0 and 55 degrees Celsius. The 1762-L24BWA controller can be mounted using a DIN Rail as mounting base or direct panel mounting through the provided slots.

This controller has integrated RS232 communication port that supports DH485, DF1, Modbus Master and Slave and ASCII protocols. The drive has been manufactured and tested to meet the EMC directives for electromagnetic compatibility under the Council Directive 89/336/EEC. The controller features the Master control relay for emergency machine shutdown. This controller supports installation of expansion I/O to complement the integrated Input and output channels.
