The GE EX2000 Power Supply Board DS200UPSAG1AFD features one reset
button, 3 fuses, and one LED light. The GE EX2000 Power Supply
Board DS200UPSAG1AFD also is populated with 3 9-pin connectors,
several capacitors, and test points. The GE EX2000 Power Supply
Board DS200UPSAG1AFD also is populated with 3 heat sinks. The heat
sinks draw heat from heat producing components on the board. The
heat sinks protrude from the board and require space for the heat
to dissipate from them. For that reason, the board must have
clearance all around it and cannot be sandwiched between other
boards. That is, the board must have free flowing air around it.
Also, when you remove the board from the drive, care must be taken
to prevent the heat sinks from hitting other components in the
drive. Also, the heat sinks may possibly end up broken off the
board if they strike a component or structure in the drive.
There are several test points on the board. The ID of 1 is AC1 and
the ID of another is AC2. Other test point IDs are DCOM and CCOM. A
qualified servicer can test the board using a tester device to test
the various circuits. If the servicer can find the cause of a
problem, you can possibly send the board to a service center for
repair.
Press the reset button to restart the board without restarting the
board. Often, an error in the board can be resolved simply and
quickly with the reset button.
