Product Details
The IC693APU302 is an intelligent, motion mate, 2-axis positioning
module (APM) manufactured by GE Fanuc belonging to the 90-30
series. It is a fully programmable module and consists of a 2-axis
motion control functionality that allows for solving of complex PLC
logic functions in one integrated system. The IC693APU302 can
operate either in follower or standard mode. In follower mode, the
module delivers high performance “electronic gearing,” which comes
in handy for slave-master applications. The user can select a
preferred mode in the configuration software.
The axis positioning module can be accommodated by any CPU or
remote baseplate in the 90-30 series. There are three APM modules
for CPU’s which are embedded – (311, 313 or 323). For CPUs which
are 331 or higher, eight modules are present in one system with a
max of three in every baseplate. A maximum of 10 motion programs
can be created and stored in the APM module. For the configuration
of the APM modules, Versa Pro software version 1.1 or later is
used.
APM cables are comprised of a 24-pin I/O connector, a cable, and a
25-pin D-type terminal block connector. Examples of these cables
include IC693CBL311 which measures 10 feet/3 meters; IC693CBL319
which measures 3 feet/ 1 meter; IC693CBL317 which measures 10
feet/3 meters with an 8” external shield pigtail; and C693CBL320
which measures 3 feet/1 meters with an 8” external shield pigtail.
A 24-pin I/O cable is used for building custom length cables and
comes in three different kits: crimp wire receptacle, solder eyelet
receptacle, and IDC (ribbon) receptacle.
