FOXBORO FEM100
The measuring principle of FEM100 series electric flowmeter is
based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction.
The measuring tube of the flowmeter is a non-magnetic alloy short
tube lined with insulating material.
The two electrodes are fixed to the measuring tube through the tube
wall along the diameter of the tube.
The electrode tip is substantially flush with the inner surface of
the liner.
When measuring the flow rate, the liquid flows through a magnetic
field perpendicular to the flow direction,
and the flow of the conductive liquid induces a voltage
proportional to the average flow velocity (ie, the volume flow
rate).
