1. What is a reverse mount probe?

A reverse mount probe is installed from the backside of a machine casing or mounting bracket.

It is ideal when the front side is inaccessible or when internal access is required for maintenance or safety.

2. What is the probe used for?

It measures the distance (gap) between the probe tip and a rotating shaft,

providing vibration and position data critical for machinery health monitoring and protection systems.

3. Can I use this probe in high-temperature environments?

Yes, it is rated for –51 °C to +177 °C. For applications exceeding this range,

Bently Nevada offers extended temperature versions like the 330190 and 330191 series.

4. Is the probe certified for hazardous locations?

Yes, it carries certifications such as CSA, ATEX, and IECEx,

making it suitable for use in hazardous and explosive environments.
